Nikita's Wish is a not-for-profit organization helping animals and their people in Northeast Ohio. This is a small rescue made up of volunteers and foster homes. We may be a small group but our goal is to help as many animals as possible find their forever homes. Our other goal is to educate the community around us in hopes that the homeless pet population will decrease over time and so many will not have to die in shelters for lack of homes.

In January and February, we visited a local kindergarten class, teaching the kids about animal care for dogs, cats and reptiles. We took pictures, which are on our Flickr. We also held a coloring contest. The winners were Rebecca and Maddie, who received free ice cream cones from Dairy Queen. Their entries are pictured below, and you can click on them to see a larger view.
